International women’s day is celebrated around the world and set aside to honor women achievements.
In that spirit, I would like to acknowledge the female gospel artists that have influenced me and my music directly or indirectly like you.
We are making history in several ways. Some of us are the first to do music in our families and have shattered several glass ceilings, with little to no recognition.
If it were in my county here in America, some people would have received the key to the city by now, lol.
Some of us are juggling full-time jobs, motherhood, running self owned businesses and ministry. Even though we deserve to receive more credit than we get, please take some time to celebrate every win, even those you consider small.
Importantly, following the legacy of the women that started this tradition, let’s advocate for every woman, especially women in music ministry and make yourself available to “pull a Sister Up”. Thanks for yielding yourselves to be used by God.
